Bharaari | Play Therapy

Evidence-based Approach

Work is guided by developmental science, attachment theory, and trauma-informed principles, with close attention to each child’s nervous system, relationships, and lived context.

Beyond Words

When stress or limited verbal capacity makes talking difficult, expressive and somatic approaches support children and parents to process experiences safely, without pressure or re-traumatization.

Experience with Complexity

International clinical experience within child protection, high-risk, and high-needs contexts informs a strong capacity to assess safety, understand behaviour in context, and support children, young people, and families navigating complex systems alongside emotional distress.

Sexualised Behaviours & Trauma

Experience supporting children and families when sexualised behaviours emerge following trauma, exposure, disrupted boundaries or unmet developmental needs. Focus on safety, regulation, and context without shame, overwhelm, & retraumatization.

Qualified & Accountable Care

Bharaari is led by a certified and qualified Mental Health Counsellor and internationally trained Play Therapist with advanced clinical training and supervised practice meeting international professional and registration standards.

I pay my respects to the rich cultural, spiritual, and ancestral traditions of India, and to the collective strength and interconnected ways of being that continue to shape and sustain its communities. I honour the values, wisdom, and knowledge systems carried across generations, along with the enduring legacies, voices, stories, and heroes who continue to shape its identity and redefine its spirit.

I further acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which I lived, studied, and worked in Australia, and pay my respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. I remain deeply grateful for the education, opportunities, and guidance received there, which continue to shape my professional and ethical practice.
